GrimeFighter reloads my PC without asking

Hi Team,

I recently got Avast PRO Antivirus 2015, and for second time my PC suddenly restarts without any reason and, worst, without my consent.

After reload, appears a GrimeFighter Screen seeing that PC is calling to Technical Support, again, without my consents.

Two times I have lost what I was doing at reload time and this behaviour is not acceptable. Please, see attached images.

Dear Pondus,

That was my attitude because I felt like an automatic reply. I was very upset, because of GrimeFighter I lost the job which I was working on. Please, understand and apologize if I offend.

Thanks for give me the idea to remove it with the installation program. However, my suggestion is that should modify the behaviour of this program. No software should reload PC without user confirmation.

As far as I’m aware there is a free element to GrimeFighter - which doesn’t have the full features - this comes with all of the avast antivirus versions.

You can remove it or by doing a custom install not install it.
Windows Control Panel > Programs & Features > avast antivirus > Change - from the new window, in the Tools section, uncheck the option for GrimeFighter and that should remove it.
