Grimefighter Shutting down System but I don't have Grimefighter

Twice in the last two weeks, my PC has shut down by itself and the screen comes up saying Avast GrimeFighter is sedating my PC and calling in our technicians. I do not have Avast Grimefighter on my system. I do have Avast Pro 2015. Is someone trying to hijack my system or is this Avast trying to get me to buy Grimefighter?

If you see that screen it means you do have GrimeFighter installed.
If you don’t want it…
control panel > software > avast > change > remove the tick in front of GrimeFighter

Does Grimefighter install automatically if you do a non-custom instal?

That’s a poor choice avast made with that decision. It has nothing at all to do with security.

That’s almost as bad as opencandy installing some crap when you run the installer
of some utility you just downloaded.

As usual it’s the novice user who has to deal with it.

There are elements of GrimeFighter with avast free, this is not the full installation of the paid version of GrimeFighter.

See Image of an earlier custom installation and that has GrimeFighter. This was my selection on that custom install.

Now I do custom installations of all software if it is an option.

I have a little bit of grime on my desk top pc
please advise how to get rid of it… thank you…

windows xp desk top pc …I have avast free, malwarebytes and cc cleaner free.
