Grrrrrrrrr

I keep getting windows notification that my avast might be out of date.Every thing is up to date. What do I do…delete the lot and start again???
Thanks for any advice

What version of Avast do you have?
(right click the blue ball > about)

HI
I have version 4.5 561

Basicly the anouncement saying Avast is out of date is correct. There is a new (beta) version out (4.5.578).

But I doubt Alwil want this anouncement to happen.

Now go there again (right click the blue avast! ball in system tray and choose ABOUT), and check what’s the VPS file version (see attachment). If it’s not like on that screenshot (0504-4), it means that you are still using old one, and it needs to be updated…

Again, right click the blue avast! ball in system tray and this time chooce UPDATING / iAVS Update

Cheers !

I have the same file version that you give.
But I am still getting the windows security alerts, even tho I have done the iAVS update several times.

I think it’s better you repair your avast installation through Control Panel (Add/Remove programs applet).
After that you can ‘disable’ the Security Center for antivirus and enable it again.
Something is wrong and avoiding detection… ::slight_smile:

Lanie, is your system clock set up correctly? Please check it out. This may be causing the problem.

Yes Lanie, Vlk is right… system clock showing wrong time could be the problem. Double check yout time settings and post back…

Thanks everyone for all your help.
I ended up reinstalling it.That helped

BUT my clock was wrong the other day…
Thanks again
