Half Life 1 Crashes when I go to a server.

Hello, I’m new here. I’m running on Win XP pro 32bit, and I’m using Avast 6 Internet Security.

The problem appeared after I changed to Internet security.

A game called half life crashes when I try to go to a server (I tested with Steam version and a No steam one) and I return to deskpot with this:

Seems like what Avast firewall is blocking it. What I need to to do?

Try this…

avast! GUI → Real-Time Shileds → Web-Shileds → Main Settings → Check Scan traffic from well know browzer processes only.

Please update us with results.

No changes, the error still appear.

When I deactivate the avast firewall there is no error.

What I need to edit in there?

Can you play the game after disabling all shields of Avast ?

Firewall only.

Looks like what I can play only disabling and enabling it again…

Please try to create (or recreate ) an application rule for that game in the Firewall settings .
