Commerce cannot wait. When we are having our Saint Nicholas (Sinterklaas in Dutch) at Dec. 5th, the candy etc. is already in the shops now at this very moment I write this posting, and they are also publishing pages on the Ramadan (and what that is all about) or the Christmas tree decoration is also being unpacked shortly. We never had Halloween here, but the shops want to sell things, so had the children parade for Haloween (A gaelic festivity) This has nothing to do with culture anymore. Forget this rant, and celebrate what is important for YOU,

Since I like happy times, I’ll celebrate any holiday I’m invited to. ;D
On the realistic side, your correct. Big Business would love all of us to overdo every holiday
not for the fun of the holiday spirit but for the sake of their bank accounts.
