I thought PMs were disabled but I received a PM from igor giving some email address to respond to.
The Moderators (and some other guys 8)) were not affected by the IM restriction.

On a more serious note, slightly off topic, it has been over 3 weeks since the PM function was killed in what was I believe started as a temporary measure until a more permanent arrangement was made. One that was in line with the measures mentioned in the official Apology thread http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=24203.0 by kubecj.

otherwise closed PM rule, that explains it. (He can. I can’t ;D)

Well... I think all users deserves the feature back...This is likely to remain an item of lingering resentment (like the demise of the Off Topic and censored posts) if it's not brought back. Why continue to alienate members who are willing to use PMs "at their own risk"?
EDIT: btw, if you are not one of the select few that can still PM, are you able to respond to the PM you recived or is it a one way communication? As one of the outcast I have no direct way to test this.
