I ran a full system scan, and Avast found a virus in my Logitech folder. It is claiming that Lmoufrc.dll, which is a Logitech force feedback driver, is a virus. So, I had the file scanned at Jotti, and Avast was the only scanner to tag it as a virus.
Yeah check some of the other recent posts. This last update is causing all sorts of false positives. To the point of annoyance.
Whilst I don’t doubt that it may be a false positive detection, I would suggest you use VirusTotal - Multi engine on-line virus scanner as it uses the Windows version of avast and it also has more scanning engines, Jotti uses the Linux engine and has less scanners.
So send the sample to virus @ avast.com (without the spaces) zipped and password protected with password in email body and false positive in the subject.
The last VPS update 0645-1 was very large (by normal VPS update standards) over 400 KB I think, unfortunately it isn’t yet listed on the VPS Update History page.
After todays virus def update, Avast no longer flags the file as a virus!
Looks like they have been working hard to correct the FPs recently notified in the forums.
