Hats off to Avast!

lol. So I had some fun with the netbooks at myschool. I won’t put in the code I used. But it loads cmd prompts for ever until you crash. I saved the file and avast! went haywire. Didn’t see that coming! Hats off!

And no, I didn’t cause any harm to the netbook, I’ve tried it before. It’s harmless.

In my Vocational school someone set a patching virus on the server (Mac OS X)
the virus copied itself on external devices and every PC when you copied or moved a file from the server. That was fun.

Someone of my class plugged in a USB to his laptop and Avast ran crazy on the USB Drive with viruses.

My school is a little retarded. Little/no protection. No Anti-Virus. Just the Websense proxy thingy. Funniest thing I’ve ever seen is avast! blocking me batch file

In my Vacational school they have old Macs (OS X 10.6.8) and some newer.

They have Intego Virus Barrier X5 (Newest is version 7 or 2013) with an outdated license, and the
Windows PCs are protected with Avira Free, PCTools ThreatFire and cranked up Windows Security settings and Firewall.
And you automatically boot into a standard user account via console, no access to Admin accounts.

Vacational School being a Bordering school that you live in? My school uses MSE, windows FW, Websense and that’s it. We have no access to Public accounts, admin accounts. Given my love for technology I’ve pointed out where they need to work on the protection since any user can access System32 cmd via SafeMode

Nope, im not living in it.

Im just for some weeks all 2 months there.
