Have Avast M Security for 4 years can't add replacement phone

We’ve had Avast Mobile Security since 2013. Recently we replace a broken phone. The broken. I sent myself a download link from the my.avast.com portal to add a new device and installed the application. I can’t figure out how to tie the new phone to the existing my.avast.com account so I can manage it like I do the other 3 phones. This happens when I try to install the Anti-theft feature. I’ve already enrolled my email address in the app on the new phone and it recognizes it until I try to install Anti-theft; it seems to want to use a google account for the pin (but I have a pin enrolled to a non-google account.

Hi, please try this:

  • open the Avast Mobile Security app
  • tap the three-lines icon in the upper left corner to bring the menu
  • in the menu roll down and tap on “Avast Account”
  • now tap “Disconnect” and “Sign out”
  • select exactly the same method for login you use on the page https://my.avast.com (Login with Google, Facebook, or E-mail)
  • follow on-screen instructions to link the app to your My Avast Account
    Your device will then appear in the account.
