In the light of a recent mega campaign to abuse a recent published web application software backdoor, it is a good policy to have back-ups from a point in time before the backdoor was exploited. A backdoor not found could lead to further exploits later. Best policy is to restore to a point before the backdoor was wrought and from that situation do a full software update to close the possibilty for a similar existing backdoor to be exploited,
