Using the free version on old Windows 7, so I get it, its old. But anyways, when the Scam Guardian scans, the tabs go dim a second and it also seems to freeze up my computer. I noticed that when I disable the shields, it doesn’t do that. Any idea which protective feature needs to be turned off so I don’t have to turn off protection all the time.
Apparently, my version of chrome is the issue. Version 109.0.5414.120 (Official Build) (32-bit)
They don’t allow further updates. So I guess Avast is officially no good for me anymore. 
First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member. I also actively avoid using the Chrome browser.
Rather depends on if you want to keep Chrome or is there another browser that continues to support it. Other AVs are likely to be in a similar position on supporting old windows versions.
