Hi there, I am unsure if this is a question that this community can answer but I thought I would ask anyway? I keep getting the message when I go to my web pages and never had the issue before I had attempted to flash my smartphone (via my PC) which failed. I then started seeing the greeting thereafter? Everything else appears to be okay on my desktop but I am wondering why I am seeing the message? Thanks for any thoughts on this.
Unfortunately not showing what the greeting is it is hard to even hazard a guess.
I then started seeing the greeting thereafter?
David, here it is - it only pops up on certain websites on the left hand side of the screen and it’s when I am using Chrome.
Actually thinking about it, it’s probably always there in the back ground and flashes every now and then?
Well I had never had this nor did I know exactly what it was, so I did a search for it.
Shadow DOM works by allowing you to attach a hidden, separate Document Object Model (DOM) to an element. This hidden DOM is known as the ‘Shadow DOM’, and the element it’s attached to is referred to as the ‘Shadow Host’. A Shadow DOM can have additional Shadow Hosts nested under it—this is called a Shadow Tree.
This certainly isn’t anything I have come across before - it would appear that a site/s you are visiting may be using this, why would be the question as I’m unfamiliar with this.
Thanks David as I appreciate you spending the time to research the information for me.
You’re welcome.
For me the term shadow should mean you generally don’t see it as in the search hits I found. The highlighted text in my quote in the last post.
Though I don’t know if it would be hidden from the Web Shield.
Apologies for the delay I have been experiencing problem getting into the forum to view and crucially replying to posts.
