Hello.I am a kid that registered so everyone could help and somehow i could help.So i’m asking you for help.My computer blue screened 2 times and dont know why.
My computer is a laptop compaq mini intel 1.66ghz windows xp 1gb of ram and a 256mb card.Is it normal to have 2 blue-screens the first was about october 2010 and the other february 2011.Culd you help me and is this normal? ???
what makes you think this is related to Avast? … if you believe that this could be the case, you should upload your memory dumps to Avast servers ftp: //ftp.avast.com/incoming/.
Every time your get a blue screen, Windows saves a so-called memory dump file called memory.dmp in your Windows folder. This file contains information related to the crash (the BSOD) It’s generally rather big, so you should compress it and password it before uploading it. The password should be sent to an Avast team member like Vlk or Igor (you’ll find their email addresses on their profile page here). You must have a minidump file as well, found in Windows\minidump. You can upload this too.
Now to the upload, use the server ftp address I gave you >>> just paste it in the address bar of Windows Explorer, then drag and drop your file there 
edit: if launching the link doesn’t work directly in Windows Explorer in XP, launch it first in Internet Explorer, then look for the “page” button, and from the drop down menu click on “Open FTP site in Windows Explorer”.
How old are you…?
Anyway, if the BSODs are months apart, they may not be connected at all.
If you don’t get any actual blue screens, there’s not much we can/should do.
