When I scan for viruses the result is that nothing is detected. However, the scan notes that it cannot read this file:

C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\EventCache{4B2CF6B2-A3B9-4E89-8FFD-8D4025A550EF}.bin… file could not be scanned!

Can somebody tell me what this is and if it is a problem?

Try checking this file with Kaspersky Online Single file check from my webpage,but i think its nothing wrong with it. Some files cannot be scanned if they are exclusively used by system or if they are encrypted.
