Help! avast! 5.0 slows down my system + no Mail Shield...

i had avast! 4.8 Home Edition and it worked fine :). then installed avast! 5.0 Free Edition over avast! 4.8 Home Edition :D. and when i rebooted my laptop it took ages to start >:(+ the Mail Shield wont work :(.

relay i mean when i had avast! 4.8 Home Edition it took 30 sec to start. now it takes over 2 min

Please HELP!

PS/ I had avast! 4.8 Home Edition in Swedish
But avast! 5.0 Free Edition only came in English…

No only because the license key thing.
But i might try that sometime later if no one knows how to fix it. (Without re-installing it)

Clean install = Need for new License Key
Install over the old version = No need for new License Key

Thanks i might try a clean install tomorrow.
I’m too tired now.

EDIT: I did a clean install and it fixed the Mail Shield problem :). And made the startup a little bit faster :-. (But i still need it to startup as it did before!)
NEW EDIT: Works fine now thanks Pondus for the help :D.

That’s why I do not have Mail Shield on my systems. :wink:

As I use Privatefirewall7 along with MBAM paid version and a hosts file, I only have the File System Shield and Behavior Shield running.
