Help!!! Avast detected virus on boot scan

Hi,
im new to this forum so any help would be much appreciated…i did a boot scan earlier with avast v.7.0.1426 on my xp pro (sp3) and avast detected 66 infected files with Win:32WrongInf-A [Susp] virus, im currently doing a full system scan 80% with 0 infected files. Should i be worried about this virus or is it just a false positive??

Hello

Follow this guide and attach here Malwarebytes, OTL and aswMBR logs.
http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0

Also, please attach here avast boot scan log.
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AVAST Software\Avast\reportaswBoot.txt

@ Cykro
With so many detections it is less likely that it is a false positive; so you should follow magna86’s advice, the boot-time log should give a better understanding of the problem.

Thank you for replying to my post guys.

Sorry about the delay, i had some trouble connecting to the internet… Hopefully nothing serious.
Attached are the log files you guys requested. I also did a full system scan with Avast and no threats were found, same goes for Malwarebytes upon the quick scan.

Thank u
Cykro

why did you change defult names on the logs ?

all logs attached here are from Malwarebytes. ???.. or is something wrong with my ipad

Im not sure if i should attach the OTL “extras” file, but here goes…

Thanx

Your attachments are all identical (as Pondus mentions), that of the MBAM log, but with the other file names.

i did not change any of the files names…wonder whats going on

Re-run aswMBR, click on Scan and and attach here aswMBR.txt log.

Also, attach aswBoot.txt log. Log is locate here:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AVAST Software\Avast\report\aswBoot.txt

And also OTL logs. If you want my help, I need a real logs. Read the guide again.

Thanx for the reply magna86.

Can i post the logs separately, each in its own individual post ?

yes

Yes you can, but it isn’t necessary to attach a log in its own post, only if the cumulative total of the attachments (4) would exceed 192KB. So you can attach more than one.

If you have a file that exceeds 200KB then you would have to upload it to a file sharing site and give the link in the post.

Okay, thanx guys. I’ll try to post each log individually, mayb that will resolve this issue.

You’re welcome.

Im posting via my mobile phone couse i don’t have any internet connection at the moment, mayb that’s why all my previous logs were all identical. I re-scan with aswMBR and OLT. Im gonna post these logs aswel Malwarebytes log and aswBoot log… All individually.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

aswMBR log:

OTL log:

OTL Extras log (did not get one from my second scan, this one is from my first scan) :

aswBoot log:

Malwarebytes log:
