I’ve got a virus that is crippling my pc–it has slowed down to a crawl, freezes up, and when I shut it down it gets stuck on the “logging out” window. when I open the internet, it opens another tab on Firefox, telling me I’ve won $1000 from Wal Mart. (woo hoo). Also, Avast is indicating several problems a day (and I’m deleting them), but nothing is “fixing” my computer problem, and the very same problems appear back not long after they’re deleted. Does anyone have any experience with anything like this? Any help would be kindly appreciated. ???

( post the logs here in this topic and not in the guide )
To avoid using multiple post with copy and paste you have to attach the log`s
Lower left corner: Additional Options > Attach ( Malwarebytes log / OTS log ) save OTS log as ANSI
Essexboy will look at the logs when posted…
Every time I try to attach the Malwarebytes and OTS logs, my computer kicks me off the internet network. Is this part of the virus? help! ???
Could you post the log generated by the following programme, no need to attach as it is small
Download aswMBR.exe ( 1.8mb ) to your desktop.
Double click the aswMBR.exe to run it
Click the “Scan” button to start scan

On completion of the scan click save log, save it to your desktop and post in your next reply
Here is the mbr log. However, it is only the first bit of it. I ran it 3 times, and every time I tried to save it, it froze my computer. The fourth time, after it detected the four “red” items (the only red ones to show up the other 3 times too), I hit “save” and it saved. So this shows all the “red” items on the mbr log, even if it ran a full scan. I hope this helps.
In this case - [TDL4] ROOTKIT found:

- scan again then click “FIX” and reboot
On completion could you then attach the OTS log please
If your computer is frozen dirung scan, you can select (none) in AV scan dropbox before pressing Scan button. In this case the scan will be limited by scanning drivers and services only.
