I just bought a license key today, and avast says I have 366 days remaining for my license. There is a little yellow exclamation point next to “virus definition versions,” and the version number is 120709-1. However, when I click “update” next to “virus definition versions,” it says “the license for this product is invalid or expired.” Wondering how I can fix this. I’m running avast pro 7.0.1456 on a new windows 7 box. Thanks.
try running avast repair and reboot
For a repair of avast. Windows, Add Remove programs, select ‘avast! Anti-Virus,’ click the Change/Remove button from the pop-up window, scroll down to Repair, click next and follow.
