Help - AVAST Shields stopping Internet.

Internet works great when AVAST shields are disabled. I’m not internet smart. Tried searching for solution but flooded with close but not valid solutions.
Internet/AVAST worked great for 3 years. Went to hotel used their access and when returned home could not access internet. After alot of trial and error discoverd turning off AVAST shields solved the problem. However, I do not want my shields off.

Perform a clean installation of the latest avast version.

Thanks. I have latest version and still no internet. I will now try the clean re-install.

Thanks for the help. The clean re-install worked. As a side note I tried the ‘repair’ option I saw first but that did not work.
