Right so I have had Avast free for along time and seen that there was an update and proceeded to download from the softwares previous version
Once Avast 6 was installed. Restarted and proceeded to attempt a “Quick Scan”
Here was where the problem came.
Instantly the PC goes into BSOD and comes up with an unusual error that only happens with this method.
“BAD_POOL_HEADER”
Now I was reading on some forums that it can be a hardware problem. Although the BSOD never occurs at any other time.
I hav reinstalled and removed using the remover provided by avast and still the error does not cease.
Specs of PC:
Core i5 @3.20 GHZ
6GB RAM
64-Bit Win 7 Home Prem
Thanks in advance
