Help! Can't remove high severity rootkit Avast discovered?

I think I have a similar situation to Magic Man : http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=132092.0

What should I do? I’ve tried using several other antivirus / rootkit detection programs, however unlike Avast, the rootkits were detected. After I try to do some action: bring to chest, remove, etc. and close out of the log, it asks me to restart. However, restarting doesn’t help at all nor change the situation.

Since Avast can’t remove them, what should I do? Please, can someone provide me with some possible guidance?

sometimes happens after windows update… reboot computer and scan again, still same result?
