Help desperately wanted here!!!! infected by AXISEQ~1.EXE

don’t know what it is, or where is it located in my computer.
it opens hidden internet explorer 7 windows when i am not using it and also there are 2 ie7 processes in taskmanger.
cannot end task as it will reappear again, seems to be started by AXISEQ~1.EXE,which only flashes in the task manager when 1 of the ie7 process is end tasked, then the ie7 task starts again and AXISEQ~1.EXE process disappears.

Anyone has any idea how to find and delete the script or file of AXISEQ~1.EXE, i used avast to scan and it did not detect any thing. I update avast frequently, so please somebody help me.

Hi, SW, welcome to the forum.

Help is available. From what I’ve read of this process, it is not particularly widespread, but neither is it particularly new, so it shouldn’t present any major difficulty.

Please download HijackThis from the TrendMicro site, save it to your desktop (or to a folder you can find.)
Install the program by double clicking on it, the default install location is C:\program files\trend micro\hijack this.
If you use Vista you will have to “OK” your way through the UAC prompts. You should also run it as an admin.
Open HijackThis, select “Do a system scan and save a logfile”. Once the scan is complete the log will open in notepad. Copy and paste the log to your next post. You may have to make it two posts, due to the posting size limit, or you can add it as a “.txt” attachment.
Do not fix anything; wait further instructions, please.

I am not trained in the use of these (plenty here are) but can help with basic malware removal.

I dont think that will work, i have tried it but to no avail. I think it is not registered as a virus or malware, but rather an annoying .dll which i just dont know there to find it. I havve tried mcafee, windows defender, hi jack this, avast and even windows malicious software remover, but none detected any thing.

I urge you to post a log, either here or at a forum that specializes in malware cleaning.
The file you are looking for may not be visible as a process, but may be created by processes that are visible.
Unless you have received help analysing a log, or have received training in how to use the program, it might not be obvious what needs to be fixed.

-= Hijack This is not an antivirus or antispyware thing that needs definitions in order to detect infections… HJT is a tool that gathers information about the running processes & all installed programs in your PC… Through that list it will generate, we can pinpoint any suspicious things running…

huh, finally i think i know whats the problem. My computer experenced memory leak thats why i am unable to end task ie7, and AXISEQ`1.exe should be some sort of crash handler or something like that

Sometimes, you can’t help someone who does not want to receive help … no matter how desperate they are.

Info on AXISEQ`1.exe :

… a hazardous and disruptive malware threat that may modify security processes in task manager and obstruct your access to msconfig and regedit.

If you want help, you need to give us the information we ask for as well as use the tools we suggest.
Otherwise, your computer will remain infected and most likely become unusable.

Hi CarleyO

The program referred to in your link, “Antivirus PLUS” is it the same as this one? http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-antivirus-plus

It could be, Pondus. I suppose I should have said that the link was for information only.
But then again, I suppose that is not a good reference neither.

My mistake and I apologize. Thanks for catching that for me, Pondus.

This is probably a variation of Adware Lop.
