I was running a routine quickscan that found malware. It had been a while since I cleared cache, or run scan so I decided since it found malware to then run a boot scan.
I got the following error:
File C:\AVAST Software\SecureLine\Setup\a364578d-ca6c-4361-9d41-9574cfcd9fc1.cab|>SecureLine.exe.diff Error 42127 {CAB archive is corrupted.}
As I understand it, cab archive errors are common and nothing to worry about, I should delete the corrupted file and reinstall or restore…but given that this is an Avast file that is found to be corrupted on an Avast scan…should I be worried?
Does this mean I need to uninstall and then reinstall Avast?
Does this error mean my scan was compromised? Or my computers might have been compromised more?
