I have the Free Version of Avast 4.8 and I have been getting a message saying that it’s about to expire. When I click on that I get a pop-up that asks if I want to upgrade to the Pro Version of Avast 5.0 or get the Free Version of 5.0. I clicked on “Install Now” for the Free Version and it seemed to be installing but when it’s done, I clicked on the Avast Icon on my computer screen and it still indicates that I have Version 4.8. When I turn my computer on the next time I get the same message that Avast is about to expire. The first time I got the message it said I had 20 days left but by now it’s down to 3 days! I’ve tried to install the Free Version of 5.0 at least 3 or 4 times over the last 20 days.
Furthermore, when I try to contact Avast Technical Support (I can’t remember the password I used when I first registered) it tells me my e-mail address is not registered. Very frustrating!
What to do???
