Site Blocking is a feature for avast! Internet Security 5.0. Its in the section Anti Spam & Blocker. If you have Free or Pro this feature might not be avaible.

No problem.

Your alway welcome here.

As you know know that is no longer in the anti-virus program but in the firewall element of the avast internet security, where I feel it should be. What is your firewall ?

Firewalls are designed for this sort of thing there is also the windows HOSTS file (C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts), which is also designed to cater for this - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hosts_file.

There are a number of hosts file management programs that can also be used.

Some browsers also come with ad blocking functions or add-ons to carry out this, so although what you might want to block isn’t an advert but a bad site, it could still be added.
