is there a single package from AVAST that embraces all the various packages for this danger and that danger as opposed to getting so many different packages which all add up to a considerable amount for a pensioners inhis late 70’s

First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.
Personally, it rather depends on your Computer and internet use which no one here knows. If your internet isn’t complex, many of these additional components/packages you probably wouldn’t have a requirement for.
I have been using Avast Antivirus Free for over 21 years and no problems. I’m fairly computer literate and malware/scam aware. Only recently have I used a Free VPN (Virtual Private Network) for testing and for my internet use it really isn’t a requirement.
What antivirus are you using right now, does it meet your internet usage requirements ?
EDIT: I would also be based on how powerful your computer is as all of these additional components/functions would have an impact on your system. If not powerful then it could slow your computers performance.
