help in removal of JS:BProtect-A [TRJ]

hello, complete novice here almost, computer has been a bit slow recently, also sound had been bad on streaming, and also chrome has been crashing several times per day so i decided to run a quick scan which located 1 infected win 32 adware, i clicked to delete it, i was then asked to restart and do a boot time scan, which located a few files in google earth zip files that where in fected i pressed 6 to delete all, it then located another file …

file c:\documents and settings\administrator\local settings\temporary internet files\content.IE5\c74zxna3\pack[1].7z|>spext.crx|>background.js is infected by JS:BProtect-A [TRJ]

i opted for it to be deleted but it wouyld not delete saying option not supported for this type (or something similar)
so i opted to repeai and it wouldnt repair, the only option it would allow me to do was ESC to exit. how do i remove this off my pc ? segestions in leymans terms please, also not sure how i provide these logs you often request.
thankyou
andrew

Yes

ran a boot time scan which took over 6 hours, i gave up waiting at 3 on the morning and went to bed leaving it running, checked the scan log this morning and all that was found was 7 win32 [pup] files which was deleted, so no sign of the js.bprotect[trj] file so it must have been removed by the softronic temp file cleaner, thankyou for your assistance pondus
