So I just downloaded Avast- Home edition, and I’m running a thorough scan. I’m bloody glad that I decided to do so, because literally hundreds of files on my computer have been infected with the Trojan Win32:Swizzor-gen. The problem is, now my chest is full- “there is no space on the disk.”
I was wondering. Could I possibly delete the files that are currently infected? They all look somewhat like this (the beginning part, at least): "C:/System Volume nation/_restore{B36780BA0A-4E5D-BF30-8344C588624}/RP336/A0403744
Oh yes, I forgot to add that I’m running a disk defrag even as I speak.
If it is only in the C:/System Volume information folder _restore point it is in a protected location.
The c:\System Volume Information folder is a part of the system restore function and as such is protected by windows, the only way to clean infected _restore points is to disable system restore and reboot. This will clear ALL _restore points. Once you have disabled system restore, reboot, scan your PC again and if clear enable system restore.

Also in such cases you can do the following: Check the program settings / “Chest” page - there’s a “Maximum size of the Chest” value there , from there you can give the Chest more storage to use
