i have just updated my antivirus followed all the instructions… let it restart and now it wont work unless i update it? wants my license or code? i have recieved no email but i can see on paypal they have taken the money 
You should have received an email from digital river (element 5) if you went through the avast web site to purchase your license ?
You can try the Resend avast License http://www.avast.com/resend-license-paid.php, you will need to enter the email that you used when purchasing the license, e.g. the one that the original email with the link was sent.
