I’ve got the free version of home avast and I’d like to change the setup (configuration) but the program said me that I need a password that I don’t have. Where could I take my password to modify my setup program?.

You seem not to be the administrator of the computer, the only one who could add this password and change it.
Are you logged as an administrator in this computer? Are you using XP?
If you set the password, but have forgotten your ‘user set’ password (not set by default) then as far as I’m aware there is no way to find out what it is. Your only course is to reinstall avast, uninstall, reboot, install, reboot.
