[HELP] My avast in not running in StartUp

sir when i open my pc avast is not running in startup i need to open it manualy to run in system tray… am worry if one day i will forgot to open the avast while am surfing and downloading i will get virus :slight_smile: anyway before avast is running in startup i dont know what i done its not opening in startup now help me thanks

First uninstall it, run the above link, and reinstall. Hope this will help.

  1. What version and product of Avast are you using?

  2. When did this problem start? Can you relate it to something you did or a change on the machine?

  3. Is your license valid (current)?

  4. You can try an Avast Repair:

XP Users:

  • Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > Avast Antivirus.
  • Scroll down and choose Repair function in the pop-up window.
  • Reboot.

Vista & Win7 Users:

  • Control Panel
  • Programs & Features
  • Uninstall a Program > Select Avast Antivirus
  • Click the Change/Remove button and scroll down to Repair
  • Click Next and follow.
  • Reboot.

Let us know if this fixes the problem and try the Avast Repair and reboot. Thank you.

Do not uninstall Avast as a first option, try the Avast Repair first. And answer my other questions as this will give me more information as to what your the cause of your problem may be. Thank you.

Thanks! I repaired it and when I used system Configuration i see avast check over there. Before i repaired it was not there. Thanks for your help!

I have the same problem with avast 2017 start up after the last update it started not runing !! Should I restore to the previous version and then try to update it again??? skipe :: mario_sp23
