Help needed cannot load windows \windows\system32\drivers\aswvmm.sys

Hi,
Noticed some threads, about windows\system32\drivers\aswvmm.sys, my status is 0xc0000098 and msg is windows failed to load because a critical system driver is missing or corrupt. Recommended fix is to insert windows installation disc, but it just keeps trying to read it and then same error comes up. I’m running windows vista 32bit, please can someone advice, many thanks

Thanks, but I can’t get as far a creating a .iso file on USBstick. My disc drive on the crash laptop isn’t working so trying to make a recovery windows vista on USB stick. Using Rufus and the original windows recovery DVD but unable to find or create the iso file, any advice, and then I’ll finally be able to run the farbar prog.
