HELP needed with some viruses!

hello!
this is my first post… sorry if this has already been asked… and SORRY especially in case i’m asking “well known” things… i dont know much about computers and stuff… ???
a couple days ago my PC got crazy so i started avast! (4.7 home ed.) and it detected some viruses, which i put in the virus-thrashcan (as suggested by avast! itself!)… unfortunately, i’m still having problems. after a few hours when the PC is on…:

  • right click on the mouse is impossible to use
  • task manager (i have XP pro) is impossible to open, or it works badly (only a coiple functions are still visible)
  • “start” only opens a “short” window, which does not even have “turn off” and other functions…
    virus detected are:
    yahoo[1] file id: 246
    yahoo[1] file id: 247
    A0143817.exe file id: 245 win32:Spyware-gen.[Trj]
    adm.exe file id: 243 win32:Spyware-gen.[Trj]
    adm.exe file id: 240 win32:Spyware-gen.[Trj]
    dialer1.exe file id: 244 win32:Dialer-622 [Trj]
    P2P Networking v124.cpl file id: 242 win32:Lineage-197 [Trj]
    p2p networking.exe file id: 239 win32:Lineage-197 [Trj]

…thanks in advance for your help!!!

If a virus is replicant (coming and coming again), you should:

  1. Disable System Restore on Windows XP: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;[LN];310405
  2. Clean your temporary files (To do this go to Internet explorer >Tools > Internet options > Delete files > Click delete all offline content (just to be sure) > click ok.)
  3. Schedule a boot time scanning with avast. Start avast! > Right click the skin > Schedule a boot-time scanning. Select for scanning archives. Boot.
  4. Use a-squared (www.emsisoft.com/en/software/free/) or ewido (www.ewido.net) (trojan removers).

Welcome to avast forums 8)

hey thanks for you help! done everything you told me too… unfortunately, it doesnt work. things are just getting worse and worse everyday :frowning:
i hope friends will be back from holiday soon so maybe will help me…

 Hi :

Looks like you have some "suspect" P2P program on your
machine !? It is fairly well known they will download
spyware, so my 1st recommendation is to uninstall it .
So you downloaded, installed & updated Ewido and ran
its "Complete System Scan" without that changing your
problem ? If yes, the next step would be to ask for help
on the forums of your antiSPYWARE Provider, assuming
you have a antispyware program; if not, I recommend
 the Ad-Aware oriented forums at www.landzdown.com .
