Help Needed with Win32:Adware-Gen and Win32:FakeAlert-AJ

I have run Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware and quarantined everything that it found. I have also run Avast and it picks up 3 files that are infected with Win32:Adware-Gen and Win32:FakeAlert-AJ. The files that Avast finds infected are in C:\System Volume Information\restore… and also C:\Windows\Installer\606d9e.msi\Icon.Icon.exe

I am not able to get rid of these using Avast. Avast won’t allow me to do anything besides ignore them. How do I go about getting rid of these? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

To clean System Restore:

Create a clean restore point then delete all previous infected restore points

I tried the system restore and when my computer rebooted a message box came up notifying me that my system could not be restored. Any other ideas?

Do not do a system restore.

Create a clean restore point then delete all previous infected restore points.
