Help--Paid for Service--Can't Activate Avast

Hello,

Problem. I used the free Avast security program and let it expire. A few days later I signed up for the Pro $19.99 package. I’m pretty sure I register correctly.

Now when I hit the Avast link on my desktop, it brings up a small window that says:

“No more endpoints from endpoint mapper”

I’ve also seen this one before when I go to the help or service part: “Cannot Insert the Specified File.”

What the heck is going on here. My bank account shows the transaction is pending so I know that went through.

I’m paying for a service I’m not getting.

have you tried avast repar?
controlpanel > ad/remove programs > avast > uninstall > repair option …wait a minute and reboot

I’m getting this when I try to open the license in my email:

Unable to insert the license file
The system can not find the file specified

This is MASSIVELY CONFUSING TO ME. and why do I have to continually type and verify in the box for each post. I need very, very, very simple instructions on this–I’m not that computer literate.

Okay, I think I’ve got it installed. I’m running a quick scan now. So apparently it worked. However, the computer is running very slowly.

I do a cold start after the scan run and see what happens.
