I am trying to update my avast however it keeps asking for an authorization password…I do not recall what it is…I have used every possible combination of my normal passwords and nothing works!!! I have tried to uninstall/install but it just asks for the password before it will let me…my subscription ends soon, help please!!!
Did you have a password on your avast?
Have you tried a clean install from safe mode?
Repair:
Reboot into safe mode (tapping F8 repeatedly)>Control Panel>Programs and Features>Uninstall a program>double click “avast”>scroll to and click “repair”>reboot
Clean install:
Replace “repair” with “uninstall” same procedure.
