i also have been using as a try ouy Avira antivir (newest edition, just downloaded) (free edition)
and it found 50 virusses mostly: HTML/Rce.Gen
but also : HTML/Spoofing.Gen
why does avast not recognise those virusses?
these virusses are already long time on internet as i read…
all those virusses were in emails.
i appreciate help in this because it gives me the feeling that avst is a little untrustable concerning knowledge of virusses?
Well… things aren’t this way for sure…
The .Gen (generic) detection of Avira could be good ones or could be false positives.
Maybe you can submit (at least some) the files to www.virustotal.com for analysis.
Also, you will help sending it to virus@avast.com helping improving avast detection.
at this time i use avast because it has functions that avira antivir has not but as i said, it looks as if avast knows nothni’about above mentioned virusses/trojans.
i checked about those virusses/trojans and they are absolutely dangerous says the avira antivir website…
cannot send those files as they are personal emails…
