Help please-Avast is blocking self-executing .exe installs

I have a program that I use with my 3Dart program. It installs with a self-executing .exe file.-that bit runs with no issue. When I click on the .exe file in the final folder (for the real program install) nothing happens. I use Win7 64 bit system & use the free copy of Avast(version is 11.2.2261) I’ve tried disabling it for the installs-no progress. I actually have to totally uninstall Avast so that I can do my program updates with that file. The program is called Reality & is a safe program. I can’t figure out the interface on this version of Avast so I’ve no clue if I missed a setting or what. Is there a way that anyone can be of help? It’d be very much appreciated:) Thanks.

You can report a suspected FP here: https://www.avast.com/false-positive-file-form.php

thanks-the upload section-is that for uploading the program in question? I was curious as it’s a program in beta at moment & I’m not allowed to share it out if I recall right :frowning: The weird thing is the final copies install with no issues but the beta (which is set up the same way as finals) have the issue with installs. & I receive no messages from Avast saying that it’s even blocking the installs.Actually my problem is kinda similar to the 1 in this post-https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=3282.0 - my program installs if Avast is removed but it does nothing after extraction from the self-extract file with Avast installed (even if disabled).

Yes.

ok -I have to get permission from the creator first then.
