I have 2 computers both which have the free version of Avast 6 installed. One has Windows Vista and this works fine. I have recently being receiving numerous emails on both computers from a UPS Notification with a zip file that appears to be harmful. On the computer with Windows Vista, these emails are automatically sent by Avast to the Virus Chest. On the computer with Windows 7 these are going into my inbox even though I have my security setting at high and have marked them as junk. I have also noticed that on Windows 7 I do not get the Avast Information Pop Up Box advising me that updates have been made. As far as I can see, all the settings are the same for Avast on both computers. Can anyone advise me what to do?
is it the same mail account on both computers…
are you sure avast is scanning incoming mail, do you have the same settup in the mail program ?
Can’t catch it on one and not the other unless what Pondus states is what’s happening. ???
