when i turned my pc on today avast no longer worked
said storage cannot be created for “splash” task
then said error dbsCreateObject? and wont let me use it so i d/l again and still comes up with the same can anybody help me plzzz 
Storage problems?
Just download ‘Control’ in my signature, run it and found the option for storage method changing. Change it from ODBC to XML and everything will work.
Did you change any MS Office component in the last days?
Other method is editing the avast4.ini file (see ‘Settings’ and look for the words ODBC and XML)
