HELP! ran grimefighter and now frozen on black screen!

I use avast free on a 2007 dell with win xp x86.
I ran grimefighter (saw what it said it could do for my boot time and thought why not)
it downloaded “image” then said reboot now.
I did.
then it said INIT: no more processes left in this runlevel loading grimefighter…

It said this for about a half hour.
then it went to a black screen. It has now been on this black screen for over an hour.
What should I do?
be gentle as I’m not too computer savvy

Reboot and run GrimeFighter again.
Let us know if it solved the problem or not.

Personally I would not use GrimeFighter since it doesn’t do anything you can’t already with options the OS is giving you.
