In need of some help to remove Avast from my computer. I’ve tried change/remove tool on the computer- no go. Then I downloaded the avactclear.exe program and prompted me with an error code of (code 0x3). I am stumpted. here are my FRST and Addition logs. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Learn how to do basic things on a computer and delete it manually.
Delete everything related to avast :
- folders
- files
- registry entries
I’ve tried. It won’t let me delete to folders in the hard drive. I’m pretty good with computers and I’ve never had issues like this deleting any program… Anyone else have any suggestions?
Tried it in safe mode ?
Yes. Even safe mode.
Looking at the log files I see a major problem.
Your windows installation is really screwed up.
You can spend hours trying to fix everything manually but, I would say get it over and done with and install Windows from scratch.
Including all updates/patches (SP3).
