help required please...

Hi there
My computer running XPSP2 has started to boot slow, just yesterday. when I get into windows, Avast AV has a ‘no entry’ sign on it? it then says there is an RPC?? error, do I have a virus or is it something else???
When I manually start Avast - all seems ok???

Try a repair of Avast.
Also check Avast’s log file and let us know if there is a error in it.
(if there is, tell us the error ofcourse)

I have also updated virus definition tonight and all seems ok now???
