Help Team Avast: Slow, IE and java issues

Hello Team Avast,
You guys have helped me efficiently before, let’s see if we can go two for two on this old tower.
I have not been able to use IE for the longest time. We just resorted to Firefox.
There is a regular Java update request, but I am never able to completely install the update.
I would not be surprised if there is some dormant malware or worm on this desktop.

Where should I start, OTL / mbam-log?

and attach ( Do not copy/paste ) logs for Malwarebytes’, OTL, and aswMBR.exe ( not for Win 8 ) in your next reply. An expert in the removal of malware will help you. However it may take a while since it is very late in Europe where most of our specialists reside.
