HELP "The license key for this product is temporarily disabled"

Help,
today my Avast 4.8.1201 unable to download updates (both programs and database).

It says: “Funzione data/ora di sistema cambiata. Si prega di correggerla e reimmettere la licenza.” In english sound like “Date/hour function changed. Please correct and re-insert license code”. But system date/time is correct.

In the log file I found:

0.06.2008 09:40:45 general: Invalid value (1)
30.06.2008 09:40:45 general: Invalid licence: 0x2000001D
30.06.2008 09:40:45 general: Err:The license key for this product is temporarily disabled.

Someone can help me ?
thank in advance.

Is this avast Home or Pro version ?

Is your system time/date correct?

Tech he reports the date and time are correct and with the exception of the first line of the report the date shown are correct.

The first line of the report shows “0.06.2008 09:40:45” but I’m assuming (bad I know) that this is a cut and paste error and the 3 is missing of the date and that would be the same as the others.

Ok.
How many times do you install avast? Did you use the trial period?
If you register again, do you receive the same key license?

Yessss, I’ve solved with a new license key !! But the error messages was very misleading.

Thanks a lot …!!

okej… need help here…i have avast 4 home edition…i have registerd for about 2 months ago. but now its says invalid licens key or something like that…i havent done anything with avast (accept doing some computer scan of course) how do i get it to work again? help plz!!!

The time/date has changed (or something like that…i am not from an English talking country so i am not so good at english…)
how do i change it back… i havent changed the time and date on the computer! help!

You say you registered, did you receive the registration key in an email and did you enter it in avast ?

If you don’t enter it in avast the demo key that is in avast will be invalid after 60 days (close to the two months you mentioned).

Before adding the registry key, check and correct your system time and date.
To insert the key, see the tutorial: http://www.avast.com/files/tutorials/insert_key.htm

i have registerd… i have recieved a mail with my license key on…and i have the key in avast like it says i should do…so i have registerd like i should do for 1 year…but still is invalid key…:S

åhh…i only putted in my licnse key again and it worked…tnx anyway

Did you check your system time and date?
Glad you have finally succeeded

i changed my time to 23.30 instead of 22.30 and putted in my key…and it workt…

Changing the time by an hour wouldn’t have an impact, so it is more likely that it was either typed incorrectly or you copied a trailing space after the registration key.

The main thing is that it is resolved now, welcome to the forums.
