Please can someone tell me how to uninstall avast 4 please? I’ve tried all sorts of uninstall programs with no luck. I’m scared to install Avast uninstaller in case I’m stuck with that as well. I have an advert for it that starts when I start my laptop and I have to click remind me later every time grrrr… I can’t delete any of its files through add/remove programs. It really is getting to me. Any advice would be appreciated.
Download the latest version of avast! Uninstall Utility and save it.
Uninstall avast from Control Panel (if possible). If, for any reason, you can’t run it, try booting in Safe Mode and doing it from there. Anyway, boot after that.

I tried this and it won’t let me open the Avast uninstall program!!
Could you disable the avast self defense module? (Troubleshooting tab of avast settings).
I don’t seem to have the interface if that’s what you call it. It isn’t in my programs. All I’ve got is this add and a bunch of files in a folder that won’t delete due to some ‘protection’ or another. I don’t understand at all. Another message is that my disc could be full. It’s very frustrating.
Run AvastUI.exe from avast folder.
Better if you can try in Safe Mode (see links posted before).
