Hi,
yesterday I ran a full scan in avast free antivirus and it was shocking. There were hundreds of viruses in C:/Windows/winsxs. Avast ran for 2 hours and it wasn’t able to move further from 0%. In panic, I stopped the scanning and tried to delete all those viruses it detected but I’m not sure if it deleted them. I ran the scan again this morning and there are still hundreds of viruses at the same place and it won’t go further from 0%.
What should I do? Should I let Avast finish scanning? I’m afraid it will take all day and it won’t be able to remove viruses.
