I need an answer or some i/p, I have a registration key and am 100 % ready to do my download for the free home version of Avast, but each time I attempt to start the download as instructed, my system jumps into Netscape and has a server error and the download never starts. Why does it utilize Netscape? when I am using Int/ explorer/ MS./ How do I get around this, I don’t want to go back to Norton!!! I am about to give up. ???
It doesn’t, the download shouldn’t require any browser other that you need to get to the download page.
What are the instructions and where are you trying to download it from ?
Don’t try to install direct from the link, download it to a folder on your HDD where you can find it again, see image. You can now double click it to install it off-line.
