HELP! Whistler@mbr [Rtk]

Hi,

avast! detected this virus threat when i scanned my computer, i tried Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware but trojan is not found.
So i read up on some other solutions in other similar topics but avast! keeps detecting the trojan. Please help!

After scannign the OTL for the second time, the Extras.txt did not show.
I have attached the logs, please take a look. Thank you!

Did you disinfect both drives with MBRcheck ?

232 GB \\.\PhysicalDrive0 Known-bad MBR code detected (Whistler / Black Internet)! SHA1: 680C3DFB3AF5C02B7E098CA7B25CA73D63745DC5 465 GB \\.\PhysicalDrive1 Known-bad MBR code detected (Whistler / Black Internet)! SHA1: 680C3DFB3AF5C02B7E098CA7B25CA73D63745DC5
Drives 0 and 1

If not then do so now and then post another MBRCheck scan - thank you

Ok, i did a mbrscan on drive 0 and 1. Please take a look, thank you

OK lets get a second opinion on this

Download ComboFix from one of these locations:

Link 1
Link 2

* IMPORTANT !!! Save ComboFix.exe to your Desktop

[*]Disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware applications, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may otherwise interfere with our tools

[*]Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts.

[*]As part of it’s process, ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed. With malware infections being as they are today, it’s strongly recommended to have this pre-installed on your machine before doing any malware removal. It will allow you to boot up into a special recovery/repair mode that will allow us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware.

[*]Follow the prompts to allow ComboFix to download and install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console, and when prompted, agree to the End-User License Agreement to install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console.

**Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, ComboFix will continue it’s malware removal procedures.

Once the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed using ComboFix, you should see the following message:

Click on Yes, to continue scanning for malware.

When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply.

Hi, i actually ran combofix, then i did fixmbr commands to drive 0,1 and 2. Can you help me check my MBRcheck log again whether is it good to go now?

Ahh right I thought you had already fixed it and then run it again afterwards - and it still showed the infection

But MBRCheck reports all is good ;D

Ok thankyou  Right now avast does not detect the Whistler@mbr [Rtk] anymore, are there any more steps to further clean up(if any)?

You can run a quick OTL scan if you wish to confirm that all is gone, otherwise just delete MBRCheck and the logs
