Help with a problem

Greetings
I’ve been getting this problem with a popup for a week or so,10 times a day.
Tried scanning with avast and ad-aware,didnt change anything.
Here’s a screenshot

Can anyone help identify the problem?

Is this happening when you open a certain specific site? If you need to post a link, please make the link inactive by changing “http” to “hXXp” or “www” with “wXw”, so it would be “unclickable”.

Perhaps you could scan the Web sites URL in question on a site like URL Void or Virus total (Scan Websites for Exploits, Malware and other Malicious Threat)

No,it just happens at random times.
Periodicaly perhaps,but not sure which period,an hour perhaps or 2.

You should post in the “Viruses and Worms” sub-forum.

Something is pointing to a certain URL that avast doesn’t like. If it is just from one specific website, then the website might have been hacked (as one possibility).

But since it is related to your system, no matter which website you are opening or what exactly you are doing (according to your post above), then it seems related to your system.

Open a topic in the “Viruses and Worms” sub-forum. and add a link to this topic of necessary (so to give some background info).

The result might still be a FP, or something not serious at all.

You are correct,i dont even have to be on the computer,no programs need to be running and it will still show the popup.
I have posted a thread in the “Viruses and worms” sub-forum right now,sorry for posting in the wrong one :slight_smile:
